Used to live in the snow belt for around 9 years before I moved to CA.! Now I miss it a little.!

I think that is th eproblem with the camera...I have two cameras...one is an Olympus Stylus 400 a point and shoot digicam..
and another Canon Powershot S60...
so i use both the alternatively..
i think i took this with my Olympus.That model has a defect on its own...it doesnt shoot well with the improper light..well that explains...

but that being a point and shoot , this pic is a great shot :)

I lost my SLR in transit..:(so that is why now Digi SLR :) thanks for the input..

That explains.
DSLR is a good way to go now even if the initial cost is little high. And nowadays getting digi prints has become as easy as regular film prints and the quality has also improved.
